Limits as Leverage

The library

45 videos, grouped by the constraint they answer rather than the order they went up. 1 live so far.

The current run is mostly about AI, because that is where the constraints are newest and the advice is worst. The groupings are older than that and will outlast it.

What only you know

The connective knowledge senior people carry and never write down — sequence, dependency, who actually decides. The hardest thing to hand to anyone, and the most valuable thing to get out of your head.

When the data can’t leave

Sensitivity is not uniform, and one blanket rule is why nobody follows the rule. Classification, redaction that actually redacts, and getting work done without the protected record ever moving.

When the tool is blocked

The request was denied, the version you have is the wrong one, the environment has a quirk no instructions account for. The route around the wall is almost always unglamorous and almost always open.

When approval is the bottleneck

Elegance needs permission, and permission is the scarce resource — not cleverness. What survives a policy review, where the audit boundary sits, and how to ask for something you can actually justify.

When the output is generic

Rarely a capability problem. Structure, constraint and context are what got left out, and putting them back is the difference between a draft and an answer.
